MONDAY NIGHT CITY LEAGUE











     Golf League play will be open to all golf enthusiasts interested in playing.  This Golf League will divide all players into five flights.    The five flights are as follows:

                                    Diamond Flight for 0 to 8 handicaps
                                    Gold Flight for 9 to 14 handicaps
                                    Silver Flight for 15 to 19 handicaps
                                    Bronze Flight for 20 to 25 handicaps
                                    Copper Flight for 26 and above

Each Flight Winner will win A Membership ($750 Value) for paid Green Fees for October of 2012 through October of 2013 as long as their respective flight has the minimum of thirteen players qualify for the year end matchplay.

FORMAT

    Golf League will meet to play a different 9 holes every Monday at 5:30 pm starting March 12, 2012 and ending August 20, 2012.  In each event, players will score points depending on their finish.  We will have five double points 18 hole tournaments.  The first will take place on January 29, 2012, the 2nd will be on February 19, 2012, and the 3rd before the Monday night matches begin will be on March 11, 2012. The 4th (which we call the Midseason Double Pointer) will be on June 2, 2012 and the 5th and final one that we call "The Grand Finale" on August 25, 2012.   A match play tournament, consisting of the top sixteen players with the most points and the minimum amount of Monday night rounds in each flight will begin on August 27, 2012.  Your handicap will be determined by a formula that has been predetermined by the Monday league committee. Please note that Handicaps will be re-evaluated every week to place you in the correct flight.  Men will play from the blue tees while the ladies play from the red tees.  Also any male over the age of 65 before March 12, 2012 may play from the white tees if he desires.  Also, any male over the age of 60 and under the age of 65 with a double digit handicap before March 12, 2012 may play from the white tees if he desires.  All players must continue to play from the same tees the entire season beginning March 12, 2011 (no jumping from blue tees to white tees or vice versa during the season).  Deadline to enter is 12 pm every Monday.

SCORING

    The Flight Winner will be determined on a point system.  Points will be accumulated each week as follows:

          9 points:  for 1st place within your flight.  (pts will be awarded for each 9 on double point events)
          8 points:  for 2nd place within your flight.  (pts will be awarded for each 9 on double point events)
          7 points:  for 3rd place within your flight.  (pts will be awarded for each 9 on double point events)
          6 points:  for 4th place within your flight.  (pts will be awarded for each 9 on double point events)
          5 points:  for 5th place within your flight.  (pts will be awarded for each 9 on double point events)
          3 points:  for just showing up and completing your round.  (pts will be awarded for each 9 on double point events)

All ties will be broken by scorecard playoff using handicap holes.

If a player leaves at anytime during a round and does not complete the round, it is considered a "withdraw".
Players who "withdraw" receive zero points for the round.
A "disqualification" occurs when a player finishes a round, turns in the scorecard, and a mistake is found.
Players who are "disqualified" still receive 3 pts for completing the round.

The more League rounds you play the more points you will accumulate.
  
                  
PAYOUTS FOR REGULAR SEASON
   
            Top 10 players in each flight will win merchandise credit according to point standings at the end of the season.
                  
MATCHPLAY
   
            Top 16 players with the most points in each flight with the minimum of 16 Monday night rounds will qualify for the Matchplay event.  Double point rounds are NOT included in the required 16 rounds.  They must be Monday night rounds.  Match play is ONLY for Yearly Memberships per flight.  No merchandise.

How ties are broken for seeding:  1 - most points...   2 - most # of rounds played...   3 - better scoring avg

COST FOR MONDAY OUTINGS (PLUS DOUBLE POINTS INFO)

   Cost of $10 entry fee plus green fees and cart if desired.  You will receive a meal at no additional cost. A hamburger combo, fajita plate or carne guisada plate will be served. Menu to be determined by the Golf Course and will be served on an alternate basis. You will have an opportunity to participate in a Skins Pot which would be transferred to the following Monday if there are no winners that day.   Skins will be played within each flight.  Your scorecards will be turned in at the clubhouse to be reviewed and scored by proper personnel.  Skins winning will be paid out the following day (Tuesday) to make sure no errors are made.  Cost for the Sunday Double Points (January 29, February 19, March 11, June 2, and August 25, 2012) will be $25 entry fee plus green fees and cart if desired.  Skins pot will be optional and voluntary.

    Winners will be given credit depending on the number of players in their flight that day for purchase at the Pro Shop. A League Members List with accumulated points will be posted at the Pro Shop and on the internet.

    U.S.G.A. rules govern all play within this league. 

    Note:  All questions related to scoring, questionable plays, eligible players, or any other situations related to the Golf League will be finalized by the Monday Night League Committee.

DOUBLE POINT PAYOUT

    The payout for the five double points (January 29, February 19, March 11, June 2 and August 25, 2012) will depend on the number of entries in each flight and paid with 18 hole rounds in mind.  The following is the payoff chart:
